Delete your Dinify account and data

Most of Dinify works without an account, and that data never leaves your phone. You only have an account if you used Scholars Q&A. This page explains how to delete it.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
- Open the Dinify app.
- Go to Scholars Q&A from the home screen.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right to open Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account and personal details are removed immediately.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you cannot open the app, email us and we will delete your account for you:
- Send an email to Diniilm.com@gmail.com
- Use the subject line Delete my Dinify account
- Send it from the email address you signed up with, so we can confirm the request is really yours
We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What is deleted, and what is kept

| Your questions, answers, comments and posts | Deleted. Where other people have replied, the content may be kept in an anonymised form with your name removed, so their replies still make sense |

| Private messages between verified scholarly accounts | Deleted. These are end-to-end encrypted; we could never read them |
| Bookmarks, follows, likes and poll votes | Deleted |
| Notification token | Deleted |
| Sign-in records (IP address, device description) | Kept for up to 12 months for security, fraud prevention and legal obligations, then deleted. Visible only to our administrators |
| Moderation records, if any content of yours was reported or removed | Kept for up to 12 months so repeated abuse can be identified, then deleted |
| Prayer logs, fasting records, deeds, journals, tasbih counts, Hifz progress, bookmarks and settings | Never sent to us. These live only on your phone — delete the app, or clear its storage in your device settings, to remove them |
Deleting your on-device data
Because your worship records are stored on your own device and never uploaded, they are not affected by deleting your account. To remove them:
- Delete individual entries inside the app, or
- Open your phone's Settings → Apps → Dinify → Storage → Clear storage, or
- Uninstall the app, which removes everything stored locally
